How to Do a Face Pull
Adjust the cable machine so the rope attachment is slightly above head level. Use a rope handle and grip it with your thumbs facing you.
Stand with one foot slightly in front of the other for balance and engage your core muscles.
With elbows slightly bent and raised to shoulder height, pull the rope toward your face. Focus on squeezing your shoulder blades together as you bring your hands to ear level.
Keep your back straight and avoid rounding your shoulders. Slowly release the tension, maintaining control throughout the movement.
What Muscles Does the Face Pull Work?
- ✅ Rear Deltoids (rear shoulder muscles)
- ✅ Trapezius & Rhomboids (upper back)
- ✅ Biceps (arm engagement)
Face pulls are great for improving shoulder stability, posture, and correcting muscular imbalances.
