How to Do a Barbell Row
Approach the barbell so that your feet are positioned under it. Start with your feet shoulder-width apart.
Push your hips back and bend your knees to squat down. Grip the bar with your hands wider than shoulder-width.
Keep your core tight and your back straight. Do not round your back. As you stand up, lift the bar.
Lean forward, keeping your chest at a 60-degree angle to the floor by pushing your hips back. Your chest should be out, knees slightly bent, and core tight.
With your torso stable and without rounding, begin pulling the bar towards your chest with your elbows at a 45-degree angle to your body.
