How to Do a Wide Grip Dumbbell Row? What Muscles Do Work?

How to Do a Wide Grip Dumbbell Row?

  • Hold a dumbbell in each hand and stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Slightly bend your knees and hinge forward at your hips. Keep your back straight and engage your core.
  • Start with the dumbbells in a wide grip, with your palms facing away from your body.
  • Exhale as you pull the dumbbells upwards with a wide grip, moving your elbows outward. As you bring the dumbbells to the sides of your body, try to squeeze your shoulder blades together.
  • Your elbows should be bent at approximately 90 degrees, and your upper body should remain still. Pause briefly at the top of the movement.
  • Inhale as you lower the dumbbells back to the starting position in a controlled manner. Keep your back straight and focus on maintaining good form throughout the entire movement.
