How to do Bird Dog Crunch?

  • Start on the mat in a tabletop position, with your hands under your shoulders and knees under your hips. Keep your back straight and in a neutral position.
  • Extend your right arm forward and your left leg back. Keep your neck neutral and focus your gaze on the floor.
  • After extending your arm and leg, bring your elbow and knee together toward your core. As you do this, engage your abdominal muscles and try to maintain your balance.
  • Repeat the movement of extending and bringing together your arm and leg for a specified number of reps on each side.
  • Once you complete the reps with your right arm and left leg, switch sides and repeat with your left arm and right leg.
