How to do Dumbell Shrug?
- Stand upright and hold a dumbbell in each hand. Keep your feet shoulder-width apart for balance, with your arms naturally hanging by your sides and palms facing inward.
- As you exhale, lift only your shoulders upward (toward your ears). Keep your arms straight and focus on using only your trapezius muscles to perform the movement.
- When your shoulders reach the highest point, squeeze your trapezius muscles and hold for 1-2 seconds to enhance the contraction.
- Inhale as you slowly lower your shoulders back to the starting position, making sure to lower them in a controlled manner.
